German Fun With Counting Cards

German Fun With Counting Cards

Make counting fun with this charming German-language card game! Children beginning school can explore numbers and quantities through play while practising simple addition and subtraction. Includes 34 game cards and two instruction cards.

Learning through play

Introduce early maths with a card game designed for children beginning school. The cards provide a playful way to become familiar with numbers and quantities. They can also be used to practise simple addition and subtraction, connecting counting with the first steps in calculation. Take time to discuss what a number represents and let your child describe how they reached an answer. You can return to familiar cards over several sessions, giving children another opportunity to practise without turning every activity into a formal lesson.

For a relaxed learning session, read the included instructions together and choose a comfortable pace. Let children ask questions and talk about their choices. Shared play offers time to listen, take turns and enjoy discovering answers together. This German-language set can be enjoyed by families who use German at home or are including German activities in their learning routine.
